Aloha! Lets get into the good stuff! At a young age I started competing in Taekwondo and Dance. With the ongoing encouragement to always remain active, fitness quickly became a lifestyle for me.

Since I can remember I have always been drawn to the surfing and snowboarding lifestyle, thankfully I was able to check them out and instantly was hooked!

In 2014 I had to undergo hip surgery which was caused by the impact sports I once was involved in, and to be honest it was a blessing in disguise! Without my surgery happening I wouldn’t have been introduced to the Surfset workout method.

To wake up each day and do something that you love and to be around people with such positive vibes, its truly the best feeling in the world!

Encouraging and motivating you is my passion and it just so happens that it is done on my other passion, a surfboard! Everyone needs a positive place to workout in and I make it my goal to make The Surf Studio that place.

After my first Surfset class with Natasha I was hooked. All of the key elements to a great workout for me were there – it was different, challenging, and (most important to me) FUN! I have always had a passion for board sports, namely snowboarding, and I was always trying to find a way to incorporate it back into my fitness routine. Snowboarding was (and still is) a huge part of my life and has been for such a long time!

In the past I spent time living in Whistler, BC to allow myself to be fully immersed in the snowboarding lifestyle, and after returning home fitness was never the same for me because ripping down a mountain was a lot more fun than picking up some weights or running on a treadmill. I have spent time practicing Moksha Yoga and as much as I love yoga there was still something missing in my fitness routine.

Then I found The Surf Studio and the Surfset method! Being on a board just feels different, it mimics the feeling that snowboarding does and I love that.

Surfset encourages you to challenge yourself and to push your personal limits all the while you are engaging many different muscle groups and also having fun.

Its not often you get to do all of that plus be in a great atmosphere and have a smile on your face.

Yoga has been a big part of my life for 10 years. This has inspired me to live my life in the present, becoming more mindful of my everyday experience and less concerned with stress and career.

My yoga passion has helped me be stronger, more confident and well balanced both on and off the mat.

Fitness has always played an important part of my life. I learned at a very young age the value of staying fit for body, mind and soul. As a competitive swimmer I developed a love affair with water sports and the feeling of controlled movements within the body. After my swimming career ended I explored MANY other fitness roots looking for something that gave me that same feeling. From running, cycling, weight training and countless group fitness classes I stumbled upon yoga. Yoga has transformed me in so many ways and continues to be part of my daily life. After having my second child I found myself searching for something to compliment my yoga practice that offered some heart pumping cardio, strength training for the muscles that were weakened with two pregnancies and a challenge for that inner competitor. The Surf Studio offered “Kid Friendly” classes that focused on rebuilding those prenatal muscles. Perfect? Perfect. After my first class I was hooked. Natasha has created nothing short of magic at this studio and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I have not once regretted jumping in with both feet and have not once looked back. This workout is a perfect balance of everything needed to become stronger, fitter, happier and ultimately healthier!
